Diocesan Pilgrimage of Families in Písek

On Saturday, a diocesan pilgrimage for families took place in Písek, which offered a rich spiritual and entertaining program for all generations. The event, organized by the Pastoral Center under the leadership of Mgr. Martina Fürstová, was held as part of the city celebrations "Touch Písek" and brought much inspiration and joy. The pilgrimage successfully reached many random visitors of the city celebrations, thereby giving the diocesan pilgrimage an evangelizing dimension, which was a secondary intention of the Pastoral Center.

The Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary was the center of the spiritual program. Pilgrims gathered for the rosary prayer at 10:00 AM, followed by a Mass celebrated by Bishop Vlastimil Krocan, accompanied by a family choir from Jistebnice. After the Mass, a ceremonial procession headed to the Marian column. In the afternoon, guided tours of the church and an interactive competition for children were prepared, which presented the sacred spaces in an entertaining way.

At the City Library, lectures and discussions focused on family life were held. Martina Fürstová presented the principles of effective communication, while the Maštálek couple talked about the challenges of parenting. The children enjoyed creative workshops and the theatrical performance "About Pavlík and His Star."

Palacký’s Gardens came alive with competition stations with a biblical theme, where both young and old could test their knowledge and skills.

The pilgrimage became a beautiful gathering of believers, who left not only with renewed faith but also with experiences full of joy and communal sharing.
