Jubilee Pilgrimage of Seniors to Křemešník

Meetings and Holy Mass

The pilgrims were welcomed by Mr. Caretaker Pavel Pípal and the vicar of Pelhřimov Josef Sláčík with a group of friends. Together, they all participated in a Holy Mass that was full of prayers, singing, and a friendly atmosphere.

History and Beauty of Křemešník

After the Holy Mass, Mr. Pípal selflessly introduced us to the history and curiosities of the pilgrimage site, showed hidden nooks, and reminded us of the spiritual significance of this place.

Lunch and Free Program

At the Křemešník restaurant, a group lunch awaited the pilgrims, followed by traditional apple strudel.

After lunch, everyone chose their activity:

  • Ascent to the Pípalka lookout tower named after Mr. Pípal

  • Prayer of the Stations of the Cross or visit to the spring

  • A peaceful gathering in the ambulatory around the jubilee church of the Holy Trinity

Historical Experience in Pelhřimov

The group then moved to the Church of St. Bartolomew in Pelhřimov, where the pilgrims together with P. Pavel Bicek renewed their baptismal vows at the tin baptismal font from 1517.

Satisfaction and Plans for Next Year

The pilgrimage was organized by the Diocesan Center for Seniors together with P. Pavel Bicek. Participants were already planning the next annual pilgrimage while enjoying coffee.

Words of satisfaction were clear:

“The pilgrimage was beautiful, please let us know when you prepare something again.”

“Thank you for the pilgrimage. Pelhřimov is the city of my youth; I am glad I was there.”

The jubilee pilgrimage to Křemešník was thus a spiritual journey, a meeting of friends, and an unforgettable experience that the pilgrims will carry in their hearts for a long time.
